On Saturday, March 15, 2014 the Haitian Lawyers Association (HLA) recognized three individuals with ties to FIU Law. During their 16th annual Scholarship Gala, alumna Fritznie Jarbath ’11 was recognized as HLA’s incoming president; Professor Ediberto Roman was honored for his impact on immigration reform; and for his academic achievements, second-year FIU Law student Guybert “Jimmy” Paul, received one of four scholarships.
